The Beginning:
The first step in this project after collecting the information I wanted to add was to create a strong cartoon composition to entice others to explore this topic. Ironing out the details and style of the crypids was quite a task. Most depictions of cryptids are mainly composed in art and other media. Determining how I wanted them illustrated became quite a challenge.
Populating the Poster:
Next I started populating my poster with the content I wanted to add. Names of crypids, and basic lore was added. I also played with hierarchy, text color, and the possible locations of the time line.
Locations and Fun Facts:
Then, I added the locations and places that the crypid's were first spotted, finished filling out the timeline, implemented a sizing reference to some of the most popular, and adjusted the location and size of the text.
The End Result:
Finally, I added some more variety in my fun facts and finalized my content's placement and color. I also added a white box around the most well-known creatures that I illustrated to highlight the creature in question.
